Opening to early access Australia first

Know your genetics, tank to paddock.

CryoStud is the platform for breeders and the cryogenic storage that holds their genetics. Start with the tank, then grow into how you run your herd and your breeding program, with signed records that buyers can trust.

How it works

From the paddock to the buyer.

Follow one bull through delivery, registration, processing, storage, sale and shipping, all on the same record. It runs for about a minute.

Who it's for

Built for the people who keep genetics alive.

Small and mid-size operations do not need an enterprise rollout. Pick the modules that match how you work. Add the rest when you are ready.

    How it grows with you

Start with the tank. Grow into the whole program.

Most breeders already depend on cryogenic storage, so that is the easiest place to begin. The rest of your operation connects to it when you are ready.

    Available now

    Get the tank in order

Every straw and embryo located by tank, canister and cane, with a client portal if you store for others.

    Available now

    Connect your operation

Animals, collections, embryo transfers, shipments in and out, and the marketplace, all reading from the same inventory.

    Available now

    Prove what you have

Vets, labs and clinics sign identity and genomic records straight into your animals’ history. Buyers verify them.

Tag to DNA, as it is done here

Australian cattle already carry a lifetime NLIS ear tag, and a DNA sample is taken at the same visit. CryoStud records both against the animal in one signed step.

    Studs, dairies and stations

Sires, dams, semen, embryos and flushes, in the words your team already uses. Cattle, sheep, horses and more.

    A local conversation first

We are opening to Australian studs, storage facilities and clinics before anywhere else, and we would like to hear how you work.

    The platform

Five modules. One record of truth.

Every module reads from the same inventory, so a straw is never in one place on paper and another in the tank.

Set up your storage facility in under a minute. Add a facility, add a tank, and every canister, cane and goblet gets its own code. Recorded in CryoStud on a demo farm.
    Genetics inventory

Find any straw by tank, canister and cane.

Animals, semen, embryos and transfers, each tied to a storage location. Every change is written to an audit log you cannot switch off.

    Collection

From collection day to frozen straw.

Record each collection and follow it through processing into stored, labelled units.

    Marketplace

    List genetics. Answer enquiries.

Offer stock to other farms and buyers, with the verified record behind each listing.

    Distribution

    Ship with the paperwork done.

Pull stock, pack the dry shipper and generate the documents in one flow.

    Coming next

    Tank monitoring.

Live temperature and nitrogen readings from your tank sensors, being built as a dedicated feature. Tell us if it matters to you.

    Client portal

    Owners see their own stock.

Clients sign in, check what you hold for them and ask for a shipment, without phoning the office.

Modules are switched on per business, so you only see what you use.

    CryoStud Notary

A signed record that travels with the animal.

Genetic clinics, labs, vets and registries get their own workspace to issue attestations: test results, identity checks, health records. Each one is signed, so a buyer can verify who said what.

Records flow into a neutral clearinghouse. A buyer pulls one report for one animal, the way you would pull a vehicle history.

    Your clinic issues the record

Log a genomic test or identity binding in your Notary workspace. Signing keys are held for you and never exposed.

    The clearinghouse verifies the signature

Only records signed by an active, accredited attestor are accepted, and each farm chooses which attestors it trusts.

    Buyers pull the report

One animal, one verified report. No chasing paper copies between farms, labs and registries.

    Cryptographic assurance

Trust you can check, not trust you have to take on faith.

Most breeding records are only as good as the person who typed them. CryoStud signs the moments that matter and links every signed record into a chain, so anyone can verify who vouched for what, that it has not changed, and that nothing has been removed.

From donor animal to the straw in your tank.

Select a link to see what backs it. Signed links carry a digital signature. The rest are recorded in a full audit log with who, what and when.

    What happens here

    What backs it

Try to rewrite history. See what happens.

Each signed record is sealed into a chain. Every link holds a fingerprint of the one before it. Change a record or remove one, and the chain shows exactly where it breaks.

Attestation chain · live SHA-256 in your browser

Illustrative records. The platform can run the same check across the whole clearinghouse chain and report the first sequence number that fails.

    What the design guarantees.

Six properties, each built into how records are created and stored.

    Attributable

A named signer on every record

Only accredited attestors can sign. Each signature is checked against that attestor's registered public key (Ed25519) before a record is accepted.

    Bound to the evidence

The animal and its documents are inside the signature

The animal's ID is part of the signed content, and so is the fingerprint of any lab report or document attached when the record is signed. Re-point a result at a different animal, or swap the report, and the signature no longer verifies.

    Append-only

    Corrections never overwrite

A re-tag or a re-test creates a new signed record that supersedes the old one. The original stays exactly as it was signed.

    Complete

    Proof that nothing was deleted

Records are linked in a hash chain. Quietly removing one leaves a gap that verification finds, so the history is complete as well as unaltered.

    Verifiable later

The exact signed bytes are kept

We store the precise payload that was signed, not just its fingerprint, so a record can be re-verified years from now.

    Keys kept safe

    Signing keys are never exposed

A dedicated signing service holds private keys on behalf of attestors and only signs on request. Staff and browsers never see a key.

Sealed every day, witnessed by people outside CryoStud.

A hash chain proves nothing was removed from the middle. The daily seal also catches the newest records being cut off the end.

    1 · Signed

The chain end is signed daily

Every day CryoStud signs the current end of the chain, recording its position and fingerprint. The signing key sits in a separate service from the records, so breaking into the records alone cannot forge a backdated seal.

    2 · Shared

    Every clinic holds a copy

Each new seal is sent to every clinic workspace on the platform. To quietly erase history, someone would have to recover every one of those independent copies, not just edit our database.

    3 · Timestamped

    Stamped on a public clock

Each seal is also stamped into the public Bitcoin timeline using OpenTimestamps, an open standard. There is no currency or token involved. It is a public clock nobody controls, so anyone can later confirm the seal existed on that date. Stamps typically confirm within a day.

What this proves, and what it does not.

Good assurance is specific about its limits. These are ours.

    Cryptography can prove

    • Who signed a record, and when.
    • That the record is exactly what they signed.
    • That it belongs to one specific animal.
    • That a report attached at signing is the one that was signed. A document added later is signed separately and marked as added after signing.
    • That no record in the chain has been altered or removed.
    • Which record replaced which, in order.

It cannot prove on its own

    • That the right tag went on the right animal. That is why the binding is made by a named, accredited person at the moment of tagging.
    • Anything an operator typed without a signature. Those entries are labelled as claims, never as verified records.

We use signatures and a hash chain, not a blockchain ledger, because one accountable operator with many independent signers fits this industry. The daily public timestamp above adds an outside witness without asking you to run, or understand, a blockchain.

    Your data

Your business gets its own space.

CryoStud runs as one platform, but nothing you store is mixed with anyone else's. Each business is set up with its own separate pieces.

    Database

    Your own data schema

Records live in a private schema created for your business, and every request is scoped to it before a single query runs.

    Files

    Your own storage

Photos, lab reports and documents sit in a storage bucket that belongs to you alone.

    Sign-in

    Your own login

Staff and clients sign in to a realm dedicated to your business, with roles that match how your team works.

    Pick your modules

Start with inventory. Turn on collection, shipping or the marketplace as you need them.

    Roles that make sense

Facility admins, operators, and client owners and managers each see only what their job needs.

    Works on a phone

Check a tank, find a cane or answer a client from the yard, not just from the office.
